Tooq — pet profiles, health records & lost-pet tags

Last updated: August 3, 2026

Overview

Tooq helps pet owners keep their pets' information in one place and helps lost pets get home. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Tooq, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information.

What is public

Only the information you choose to show on a pet's public profile is visible to people who scan the tag — typically the pet's name, photo, details, your contact options, and, if the pet is marked lost, your message, last-seen location, and reward. Your health records, notes, reminders, and account details are never public.

Sharing with service providers

We use trusted third-party services to run Tooq, such as cloud hosting and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications. These providers process data only on our behalf. Contacting an owner via phone or WhatsApp happens through your device's own apps.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Settings, or email us and we will delete your account and associated data.

Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is protected by your sign-in token. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.

Children

Tooq is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
